Ways you can help develop an accessible, affordable housing for Mainers this holidays season
Hello quarter four 2022, all of us at 3i Housing of Maine are gearing up for the holiday season. Our community plays an integral role in planning, developing, and executing our affordable, accessible housing project at The Downs, in Scarborough. If you are looking for a way to be involved and make a difference during the holidays, we put together a list of opportunities for you. 🙂
1. Participate in #GivingTuesday 2022
GivingTuesday is November 29, 2022! GivingTuesday is the global day of giving. Join the GivingTuesday movement and reimagine a world built upon shared humanity and radical generosity. Be sure to mark your calendars for November 29! Our goal for the day is to raise $8,000 to help develop an accessible, affordable housing option that promotes independence and dignity for adults with disabilities.
2. Join our Email List
Want to hear from 3i HoME on a monthly(ish) basis? The holiday season is here! Help us shine a bright light now and throughout the year by subscribing to our e-newsletter. You’ll receive updates on our project at The Downs in Scarborough, organization happenings, and interesting reads that pertain to our work. 3. Attend our Independence event, December 12 - 16!
The third of our online events for 2022, this week-long online event as we highlight the importance of how independence can empower individuals' to manage their own lives in a supportive, accessible environment. We will also showcase how independent living is at the forefront as we move forward with our project at The Downs, in Scarborough, Maine.
4. Become a Monthly Donor
Our monthly donors are a passionate community of changemakers who are working hard every day to create opportunities that promote Independent community based living options for adults with disabilities through Innovative affordable housing and Integrated support services. When you give monthly, you put your gift to work year round.

7. Create Supportive Housing for Adults with Disabilities
A simple, straight-forward way is to give. Donate to support 3i Housing of Maine this holiday season. From October – December, nearly 40% of our income is received for the year. With our programs continuing to grow as we look to 2023, we are in need of support to be able to maintain and expand the ways we are able to develop Independent housing through the 3i HoME model. Consider shining your lights for adults with disabilities seeking an affordable and accessible home this holiday season.
