At the 2025 Maine Geriatric Conference, 3i Housing of Maine’s CEO Paul Linet ran multiple workshops for community leaders from across Maine with a clear message: accessible housing is not just a disability issue — it's a community issue.

With less than 1% of housing in the U.S. being wheelchair accessible, millions of Americans are living in homes that don’t meet their basic needs. Paul’s talk challenged leaders in aging and health care to think beyond traditional models and embrace 3i HoME’s Caring Communities™ designed for dignity, technology-enhanced independence, and true neighborhood integration.

He also previewed our first major project, Sturgeon Place — a 51-unit totally accessible development to be located at the vibrant town center at The Downs in Scarborough, Maine.  Sturgeon Place will include 3i HoME’s innovative Mobility + Assistive Technology Hub (MATH) and our Assistive Technology Enhancement Center (ATEC)

The conversation doesn’t stop here. We’re continuing to advocate, innovate, and build a future where everyone has access to a fundamental right -- a place to call home.
