Day Two:
What can life look like when assistive technology is accessible?
Our friends at Inclusio, a fully accessible, supportive living home for adults with limited mobility who require some assistance with activities of daily living but also value autonomy and independence have been tremendously helpful to 3i HoME.
Inclusio is located in Calgary, Alberta in Canada and is a great example of what is possible for our pilot program coming to Greater Portland, Maine!
Day Three
According to the Assistive Technology Industry Association, Assistive technology (AT) is any item, piece of equipment, software program, or product system that is used to increase, maintain, or improve the functional capabilities of persons with disabilities.
We believe that assistive technology, properly implemented, makes life simpler not more complicated. We believe that assistive technology only works when accompanied by ongoing support, training, and periodic reassessment. And most of all, we believe that each user deserves assistive technology that is customized to his/her/their specific needs.

Today is Global Accessibility Awareness Day!

Global Accessibility Awareness Day is a global event that shines a light on digital access and inclusion for people with disabilities.
TODAY’S GOAL
Have 10 people give $50.
Your $50 donation funds an hour of collaborative research as we are forming strong relationships with policy makers, commercial, non-profit and academic organizations and, with their input, designing plans to deploy state-of-the art technology in the 3i HoME pilot.
