This past Friday (April 14th), our CEO, Paul Linet, testified before the Maine legislature's Joint Select Committee on Housing in support of LD 226, a bill that would provide $200 million through 2025 toward the construction of affordable housing. LD 226 is entitled, "An Act to Address Maine's Affordable Housing Crisis." Paul's remarks (below) focused on the humanitarian crisis experienced by low income people with disabilities due to the lack of affordable AND accessible supportive housing; and why the 3i HoME model is vital to addressing this universal need.
